“You have to move with the times or the times move you“
This is an odd saying but unfortunately there’s a great deal of truth in it. We have recognised the signs of the times. For 3 years now, we have received more than just support from the family. Two years ago, the business was leased to Nils Fuhrhop. After his training and years spent abroad in top gastronomic establishments as well as attending the hotel management school in Hamburg, he is the right partner to run this business in a purposeful, responsible and family-oriented way in the future. Of course, Nils does not bear the responsibility for the business alone – but at our hotel it is just like on a ship: there is always only one captain.
We have decided to focus on sustainability in our products and to further emphasise their regional nature. We take great pleasure in keeping a herd of Welsh Black cattle on over 30 hectares of land. In addition to the products already supplied from the region, these are a special and personal sign of our regional focus.
