Weighing 35 kg at birth, adult cows reach a weight of 650 to 800 kg and bulls 900 to 1250 kg. In the meantime our herd consists of 23 cattle, which stand on different meadows.
Our cattle
We, the Fuhrhop family and especially the senior boss Udo Fuhrhop, as an old farming family, have been engaged in breeding these extraordinary animals since 2010.
The background is, besides the fact to cultivate own land, the regional reference of local products. Our far-reaching goal is to offer more and more regional products in our restaurant. In addition to trout, potatoes, asparagus, water, eggs, honey, cheese, sausage, blueberries, apples from our regional partners and our own beer, our Welsh Black cattle offer the ideal addition to the regional range of products.
