Final spurt towards the opening

The days are getting shorter, but the work is not slowing down – the final spurt is underway and the opening date has been set: October 15, 2024. This date is buzzing like a mantra through the heads of over 150 people. Our entire team, the construction workers, our families, friends and of course ourselves – everyone is focused on this magical date. From October 15, you will be able to stay in our new hotel wing and enjoy the amenities of our luxurious 4-star superior rooms.
The wallpaper is already on the walls, the colors are freshly painted, the bathrooms are gleaming, the tiles are perfectly laid and the carpet is ready to take its place. In the midst of this organized chaos, the furniture makers are already assembling wardrobes, tables and beds. It’s like a well-choreographed production – even at the weekend, people are working to achieve our goal. Up to 80 people are working at the same time to get everything ready on time.

The furniture for the new lobby has been ordered and the design concept has been finalized. The hotel corridor will also be a real highlight. What sets us apart? Our attention to detail. With us, nobody gets lost in the big plans without paying attention to the small details that make our hotel so unique. And that is exactly what we have tried to implement in the new building. Tradition meets modernity – this is how we harmoniously combine our existing hotel with the new building. We think we have succeeded in doing this.
So just a little patience! Would you like to be one of the first to see the whole thing? Perfect! Why not book a night with us straight away? Some bookings are already coming in and there are already days when we are fully booked. But there are always a few gaps in between.
The last month has brought us a few surprises, not always nice ones. Earthworks had to be resumed, and yes, some cables were found with the excavator shovel, which caused the lights to go out for a short time. Anyone who follows us on social media will have followed the water ingress in the technical cellar – beautiful, isn’t it?

Wallpapers that had already been chosen were suddenly no longer suitable for public use. So we had to select new ones in a night-and-fog operation. Of course, we drove a total of 600 km to pick up the wallpaper ourselves because the parcel services didn’t keep their promises.
And yes, it can sometimes happen that four trades are trying to complete their work in one room at the same time. This is not always pleasant for the colleagues on site. But we would like to emphasize in all clarity: We have the best team! All the trades are doing their best to ensure that everything is completed on time and we are incredibly grateful that no one shies away from weekend work.
As always with a construction project, there is still a lot to do before the opening. The banquet terrace is currently being repaved and the old hotel building is being connected to the new building. Unfortunately, the outdoor facilities will not be fully green, but we will take care of that in spring. And yes, the wellness area is still a little way off. Despite all our efforts, it is simply not possible to complete it by mid-October. It will finally open its doors on 09.12.2024.
For the house builders among you: a two-month delay is almost nothing, isn’t it?

So, let’s take a deep breath, straighten our crowns and look forward to the wellness area shining in all its glory for the winter season at the latest. We have already found a wonderful team to pamper you from December onwards. Our wellness offers can already be booked on our website.
And for those who don’t want to wait that long: From 4 November 2024, there will be a varied program of weekly yoga and fitness classes. From yoga and Zumba to circuit training – for hotel guests and locals alike. Sounds like a perfect reason to check in with us, doesn’t it?
